He has a way with words that will transport you into the story with the characters and make you live their lives. Even with a limited number of pages, Kearns was able to convey something very special about Tuck. I was immersed in his story and the ending really shocked me. I enjoyed Tuck’s reactions; he is so relatable and so real that I saw myself in him. A Place of Rest is yet another brilliant short story that I thoroughly enjoyed! "
